Thanksgiving, the Reason for the Season:
"Thanksgiving Day, annual national holiday in the United States and Canada celebrating the harvest and other blessings of the past year. Americans generally believe that their Thanksgiving is modeled on a 1621 harvest feast shared by the English colonists (Pilgrims) of Plymouth and the Wampanoag people. The American holiday is particularly rich in legend and symbolism, and the traditional fare of the Thanksgiving meal typically includes turkey, bread stuffing, potatoes, cranberries, and pumpkin pie. With respect to vehicular travel, the holiday is often the busiest of the year, as family members gather with one another. Thanksgiving Day is celebrated on Thursday, November 25, 2021." https://www.britannica.com/topic/Thanksgiving-Day My immediate family and I would all gather on Thanksgiving to eat turkey, green bean casserole, stuffing, and mashed potatoes. My dad used to watch the Raiders if they were on that day and I would sometimes watch with him. It's a time to be grateful. We all go to work and we are all very busy all year, but this is a good time to reflect and be thankful. I am thankful for my family, my great accomplishments of writing another book, staying connected to everybody, and keeping my blog up to date.
