It is not a missed opportunity, it is an altered opportunity.

Frustration- Guess what today was? It was my 3rd 5K. But it turned out my running partner woke up sick so I couldn’t go. This is how the frustration started. But like I say life gives you lemons and we are making lemonade baby. My plans went awry but plans change. That is how the lemonade comes to be. 

Trying to be flexible is difficult in my position but there is always a way. Once again I hit a wall. I do not see any way out but I am not going to accept this defeat. So what can I do? I have learned to be more “flexible” so now we are going to go into what I can do. 

At this time, I can work out and go on the treadmill. This way I will still gain the same effect.  So f%& that wall. I am not going to let it stop me. It is not a missed opportunity, it is an altered opportunity. 

So what this is confirming for me is that the difference between FRUSTRATION and FLEXIBILITY is a mindset. It would be so easy to have this news upset me to the point of ruining my whole day. But I can come back to the religious message that life does not always go to plan. 
It is unfortunate I could not add to my trophies because I have 2 and would like another. So my mindset is to train and be even more prepared for the next one.
