There are a lot of things that I think to myself, “What the f***.” Sometimes, I think that about both sides of the coin, depending on the situation. Maybe I think too much into it. Well, the thing is, sometimes it can be good to evaluate, but in the end, sometimes it can be bad also. You ponder, “Why did I do that?” I guess you can overthink something, but you don’t realize what you already thought about. So then that thing comes back again to bite you in the ass. You end up repeating.
You also learn in different ways. There is one way of doing things and then you have an “AHA” moment and learn a new way to do it. That wouldn’t happen if we hadn’t repeated the situation. What’s good about overthinking? I feel it’s good because you think of situations you otherwise wouldn’t have thought about. So it puts you in a frame of mind to see another perspective. This is a way of growing, maybe wisdom, of sorts, to see the good and the bad. Or is it just bad for me? It seems to get me from doing the bad or sometimes dumb things. When we do this, it’s sometimes hard to recognize. However, when you do, you can correct your behavior. Maybe it’s not that you need to stop overthinking… maybe you need to think more.
