I had heard about affogatos before, and since I love coffee, I thought, why not try one? Affogatos literally means “drowned” in Italian. So I drowned my ice cream in espresso.
I ordered my usual red eye, which is two shots of espresso added to coffee. Then, I got two scoops of fudge brownie ice cream and a chocolate chocolate chip muffin. The combination of chocolate and coffee gives me the energy I need to set my day and finish my daily tasks. It's more than just energy; it's all of the following beneficial nutrients: “Coffee contains a number of useful nutrients, including riboflavin (vitamin B2), niacin (vitamin B3), magnesium, potassium, and various phenolic compounds, or antioxidants. Some experts suggest that these and other ingredients in coffee can benefit the human body in various ways.” (https://www.medicalnewstoday.com/articles/270202 ) And let’s just say that ice cream has milk!
