“I used to be impatient. I am learning patience.” Even though I have not reached 80 or 90 years old, He has provided me with wisdom and understanding. Patience is one of those things. It is not just me, it is Him working through me.
It was a long process, going back and forth with my doctor, case manager, and everything in between. Patience has played a big part in helping me with this. Although I'm unsure about not being able to go home, I am finding grace throughout the process. I humble myself in the process so impatience doesn’t turn to anger. In moments of frustration, with learning patience, I walk away. I collect myself. This is important so the fuse does not reach the bomb. So anger doesn't fuel my anxiety. So I do not explode. Patience stops the bad habit and breaks this chain reaction. I can instead meditate and pray. It helps me stay grounded. This coincides with patiences. Learning these techniques, and having this internal conversation with my maker, helps me stay more calm and have more patience. Overall it makes me a more pleasant person to be around. Patience is learned but it is not mastered. You are always growing deeper with patience. **COMMENT BELOW

Oh crap, over training, super sore. The training was for another race. This time instead of a 5K I pushed myself to do a 10K! I ran 10 kilometers, or 6.2 miles, during the actual race. And another 2.5 following the race as we walked around Santa Cruz. That means I was moving for a total of almost 9 miles! In addition to the length of the race, this race was unique because I am usually not sore starting a race so I run the whole time. But this one was also longer so I needed to walk more of it so I did not have the speed I wanted. But due to more miles, I still had a high output. It was also unique because this race was along the coast of Santa Cruz. You could see the ocean almost the whole time. You race from the Natural Bridges Beach all the way to The BoardWalk. A challenge that racers face on race days is the lack of easily accessible restrooms. This race was no exception. I needed to wait and find one about halfway through. After that I felt much better. Overall I was having a good day. I was saying “Good Morning” to everyone running. Yes I am that annoying person that has to say “hi” when people pass by. I do that to show strangers there is still love in the world, we are never alone! This gesture is contagious and other people were also saying hi and in a good mood. It was a good day. I got out of the house. I got to go to the ocean. I got to workout with a friend. I saw some birds just chillin’. I got to experience life. And yet again blessed with another day. Not too bad for being sore. It is important to tell your loved one’s you “love them” by more than just saying “I love you”. You never want to wait to express how you feel. Tomorrow is not promised to anyone. Expressing messages that look to the future are important, so your loved ones will be secure to know you are not going anywhere. That way when life has its ups and downs it does not change the security of the relationship. That way it keeps the relationship grounded in love. I hope my words below inspire you to write a message to someone you love.** Ten years from now I want to see myself loving the same person I do now. And that person is you. Picturing us growing together overcoming challenges, celebrating our victories big and small. Seeing that our love only grows with time. I imagine us sharing countless memories. Adding another layer to the bond we already have. Laughing together with even more inside jokes that only we understand. I want to see us supporting each other, lifting each other up, and being each other's biggest cheerleaders. **Try writing a message, leaving a voicemail or sending a text message to someone today. See how it makes you and them feel.
Purpose - understanding your reason allows you to see your calling, and understand your motive. Knowing one's intention is more profound, and can help you achieve the impossible. Once you discover your purpose you need to build on it. It’s like building a house. Would you build a house out of sand or stone? You need to make a foundation and build from there. We can build a foundation by starting with understanding where we come from. We all come from God. Even during conception, researchers have recorded a spark of life. I believe that is the beginning of life. Even in the Bible, it talks about how God knew us before we were conceived. Maybe that spark of life is God getting to know us even before we are born. |
